Conciliation Board Meeting and Positions of Factions and Groups

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov at the Conciliation Board meeting expressed his condolences to the families of 26 cadets killed in a military plane crash, called on to commemorate the Babi Yar shootings of September 1941, asked for conduction of peace negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Among important bills named bill on digital transformations and inland water transport. He reminded about upcoming Teacher’s day and noted that safety education and teachers support should be prioritized in the Budget 2021.

Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada and the Representative of President Volodymyr Zelensky at the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk also asked to support cadets’s families.

He underlined the preparation of the plan of legislative initiatives for the year 2021, noted the importance of adaptation to the European legislation and passing bill on inland water transport, bill on communications, blood bank, asked to consider bill #3250 on remote voting which will allow the Parliament to work during the pandemic, bill on individual entrepreneurs, bill on Bureau of Economic security and bill on referendum.

The Servant of the People faction (position presented by the first deputy Oleksandr Kornienko): military plane crash tragedy, asked to call to the Government Hour Deputy Prime Minister for the military-industrial complex Oleh Urusky to report on technical provision, bill #4117 on local elections, bill #4099 on state procurements; asked to pass euro-integration bills before the summit: bill # 3014 about electronic communications, bill #1182 on  inland water transport, bill # 3651 on decentralization.

Opposition Platform – For Life faction (co-chair Yuriy Boyko): military plane crash tragedy, Armenia and Azerbaijan frozen conflict and lesson for Ukraine, need for peace negotiations, second wave of COVID-19, local elections, money for teachers and medics.  

The European Solidarity faction (co-chair Artur Gerasymov): military plane crash tragedy and draft resolution on the creation of an investigation commission on Vagnerivtsi, local elections, observers on elections from the European Solidarity Party, COVID-19 issues, mass testing, critics of the State Budget 2021.

Batkivschyna faction (chair Yulia Tymoshenko): tragedy and old military provisions, second wave of COVID-19 and need of creation of the National commission, unity of political parties.
