MPs condemn Polish law on the National Memory Institute and called for a return to benevolent ties

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy after opening the 8th session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 8th convocation informed that the Committee on Foreign Affairs early today in the morning worked on Draft resolution No. 7553 on the statement of the Ukrainian parliament in connection with the adoption by the Sejm and the Senate of Poland the changes to the law on the National Memory Institute. Parubiy asked MPs to support this Resolution: “Verkhovna Rada should carefully and responsibly answer the call we received”. People’s deputies adopted the respective Resolution with 242 votes in favor.

After passing the resolution, Parubiy welcomed the MPs’ decision: “I hope that we will not have to make such decisions anymore. I hope that the war of declarations and the war of laws will be halted, and we will jointly build our common future, including the future of the Baltic-Black Sea Arc and will jointly defy Russian imperialism".
