MPs amended their working schedule for this week and agenda of the 4th session of the Parliament

 

People’s deputies by 241 votes in favor changed the procedure for working in the plenary regime of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from September 29 to October 2, 2020. Plenary sittings on Tuesday and Thursday will last till 3 p.m. and on Wednesday and Friday till 2 p.m.

By 245 votes in favor MPs backed in the first and final readings draft resolution #3050а-4 on Amendments to the Agenda of the Fourth Session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the Ninth Convocation.

 

Failed to include in agenda: bill #4117 on Amendments to the Electoral Code of Ukraine and Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Concerning the Peculiarities of Organizing the Preparation and Conduct of Elections during the Quarantine Period Established to Prevent the Spread of Particularly Dangerous and Dangerous Infectious Diseases in Ukraine and Improve Certain Election Legislation (213); bill # 4051 on amendments to some legislative acts to improve the legal regulation of telework (180).

Shortened the deadline for introducing alternative bills to the bill: #

4099 on Amendments to Clause 4 of Section X "Final and Transitional Provisions" of the Law of Ukraine "On Public Procurement" on Peculiarities of Procurement during the Election Process (259).

Rejected: bill #3748 on amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine to improve the civil service.

As final: bill #3287-1 on amendments to the Customs Code of Ukraine and some legislative acts of Ukraine to eliminate terminological inconsistencies (276).

In the first reading: bill #3961 on Amendments to Clause 1 of Section XII Final and Transitional Provisions of the Law of Ukraine "On Concession" (226); bill #3577 on Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts Concerning the Protection of Housing Rights of Orphans and Children Deprived of Parental Care, Persons Among Them (292); bill #2443 on Amendments to Article 46 of the Housing Code of the Ukrainian SSR Concerning the Extraordinary Provision of Housing to Persons Registered Before January 1, 1993 and Living in Temporary Housing (269); bill #3628 on Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Concerning Strengthening Liability for Offenses in the Sphere of Selling Electronic Cigarettes and Liquids Used in Electronic Cigarettes to Children (272).

MPs considered an electronic petition to establish a Interim Investigative Commissionsto to investigate possible treason in the Wagner case. The petition got 25,000 votes on the website and it was the first time in the history of the Parliament of Ukraine to consider electronic petition.

 

Stefanchuk during the sitting announced a 30-minute break at factions’ request

Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada and the Representative of President Volodymyr Zelensky at the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk informed that the European Solidarity faction and the faction of the Holos Party requested a real 30-minute break. He asked all factions leaders to come to his office for discussion. The sitting should continue at 11.45 a.m. but started after scheduled 30 minutes break after 12.30 p.m.

Stefanchuk closed the sitting at 2.47 p.m.
