VR holds Government Hour. Groysman: A new session of the Parliament will be devoted to the strengthening of the national economy

Today Government Hour started straight away with questions to the Government. Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy informed the Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman will deliver the speech after the questions to the Government representatives. Parubiy said that the closing of the session will be held at 1 p.m.

Issues raised by the representatives of factions and groups: 

People’s Front faction: the creation of a High Anti-Corruption Court and prospects of cooperation with international financial organizations (answered Groysman).

“Samopomich” Union faction: bills on control of vehicles on foreign registration and reduction of excise taxes on import of used cars (answered Groysman).

Volia Narodu (“Will of the People”) parliamentary group: bills on control of vehicles on foreign registration and debt to miners (answered Groysman).

Petro Poroshenko Bloc (BPP) faction: bills on control of vehicles on the foreign registration, stop of work of the JSC "DNIPROAZOT" (one of the oldest companies in the chemical industry) (answered Groysman).

From Vidrodzhennia ("Renaissance") deputy group: adoption of bills on control of vehicles on the foreign registration or holding an extraordinary session on Tuesday, July 17, availability of money for the treatment of children abroad (question to Acting Health Minister Uliana Suprun). Parubiy answered on the first part of the question informing that he will conduct a signal voting at 11 a.m. to see the support for bills adoption today. The answers to other questions were not provided as Chairman gave a word for a next MP.

Batkivshchyna faction: bills on control of vehicles on foreign registration (answered Groysman).

Radical Party faction: business support, raising salaries, creating jobs and attracting investment (answered Groysman).

Opposition Bloc faction: debt to miners (answered Groysman).

 

Questions raised by MPs: 

From Vidrodzhennia ("Renaissance") deputy group:  control of the privatization of the Black Sea seaport (answered Groysman).

“Samopomich” Union faction: the collapse in the tourist market, flight delays and responsibility of travel companies (answered Groysman).

People’s Front faction (2 questions): control by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) auditors of the Director of the NABU Artem Sytnyk activities (answered Groysman), adoption of bill No. 8362. and development of the coal industry (answered Groysman).

BPP (3 questions): allocation of funds to rebuild the school in Odesa Oblast (answered Groysman), management of the Ukrnafta, Ukraine's main oil-producing company (answered Groysman), request not to close the session, corruption schemes in the activities of water agencies and the removal from the posts of their heads (no answer was provided, the word was given for a next MP).

Independent MPs (2 questions): attempt to capture a military facility, namely airfield “Shkilnyi” in Odesa Oblast (answered Groysman), the absence of government representatives at the Health Care Committee meetings, the question to Suprun, whether she is a citizen of the USA (answered Suprun).

Volia Narodu: thanks to the Minister of Education and Science Liliya Hrynevych and the Government for receiving by the Small Academy of Sciences status from UNESCO (answered Groysman and Hrynevych).

Chairman gave 10 minutes for the speech to the Prime Minister. Groysman thanked to all the factions and groups for cooperation. “We have formed a list of 35 economic bills, 9 of them were adopted, 5 in the first reading. A new session we will devote to the strengthening of the national economy” – stressed Prime Minister and thanked for completing the formation of anti-corruption infrastructure. He also said he would not leave office.
