VR passed the bill on creation of the High Anti-Corruption Court

The Parliament has adopted bill No. 7441 on amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On the Judicial System and the Status of Judges "in connection with the adoption of the Law of Ukraine “High Anti-Corruption Court" in the second and final readings. A total of 254 MPs voted in favor.

Before the final voting Deputy Head of the Committee on Legal Policy and Justice, Petro Poroshenko Bloc MP Serhiy Alexeyev has read numbers of amendments, which should be included in the bill. Lawmakers supported this list with 228 votes in favor. Also, MPs voted separately for amendments No. 160 and No. 168, which are important for further cooperation with the IMF. There were several failed attempts to pass two last amendments. Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman arrived to the Verkhovna Rada to support the bill adoption. After several attempts amendment, No. 168 passed with 231 votes in favor and amendment No. 160 with 228 votes.
