VR Sitting Council meeting: agenda for 2 next weeks

In May Ukrainian Parliament will work 2 weeks in a row, therefore leaders of political factions and groups have proposed their points of view how to improve the agenda for the upcoming weeks in the Verkhovna Rada.  MPs agreed to consider bills on construction, urban development, housing and communal services, as well communications and renaming villages and settlements on Tuesday. Wednesday will be dedicated to ratifications and children's rights. Thursday – to agriculture policy, culture, and spirituality.

Two bills on temporary occupied territories registered in VR

On May 10th, two bills on temporary occupied territories were registered in the VR. However, the texts of the bills became available on May 15th only.

MP Nataliya Veselova from Samopomich faction is an author of the draft law No. 6400-1 “On temporary occupied territories by the Russian Federation and being beyond Ukrainian control due to the armed conflict    with terrorist groups.”

Mustafa Nayyem of BPP faction submitted the draft law No. 6400-2 “On temporary occupied territories by the Russian Federation.”

VR Speaker visited Norway

On May 8th- 11th, the VR Speaker Andriy Parubiy Parubiy visited Norway under an invitation of former Prime Minister of Norway and Oslo Center President Kjell Magne Bondevik. He headed the delegation of the Ukrainian parliament stayed in Norway.

During the visited Mr. Parubiy congratulated his Norwegian counterpart on the 25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Norway.
